SVP, Product Development
Cameron is the Senior Vice President of Product Development for NovaSignal. In this role, Cameron leads the engineering teams developing the next generation of robotic transcranial doppler ultrasound systems.
Cameron has over 25 years of product development leadership experience in both the medical and homeland protection markets. Most recently, Cameron was the Vice President of Products and Technology for Smiths Detection, the world’s largest supplier of security products for airports, ports and borders, and critical infrastructure. Cameron led teams developing x-ray computed tomography (CT) systems, mass spectrometer chemical analysis systems, radiation detectors, and high-energy x-ray systems. Cameron came to join Smiths Detection following acquisitions of first GE Homeland Protection and then Morpho Detection. In these firms Cameron was VP of Engineering, CTO, and CIO. For the first 10 years of his career, Cameron developed medical CT scanners, first for Imatron, Inc, and then for GE Healthcare. In these roles, he led teams developing FDA-approved software, hardware, and algorithms for measuring and diagnosing heart health.
Cameron earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and his Ph.D. in Bioengineering from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. He has four published patents and over 20 journal and proceedings publications. He is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
