Chief of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs
Javad serves as NovaSignal’s Chief of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs. He brings to NovaSignal 30 years of global medical device and diagnostic experience using lean six sigma principles to improve quality systems, process efficiencies, regulatory compliance, cost strategies, and organizational design.
Javad previously served as Global Senior Vice President of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs at Gambro AB. Prior to joining Gambro, he was the Senior Vice President of Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics Division, where he was responsible for global Quality Assurance, Regulatory Affairs, Quality Systems, Health Environment and Safety, Reimbursement and Government Affairs, Medical and Clinical Affairs, and Biostatistics. He also served as a member of the Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics Management Group. Prior to joining Siemens, Javad led the Quality and Regulatory functions at Bayer Diagnostics, where he made the division an industry leader by creating an innovative, worldwide quality management system that encompassed more than fifteen sites in forty-four countries. Javad was instrumental in the mergers of Diasonic and Toshiba Medical, as well as Gambro AB and Baxter International.
Javad earned his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities and his M.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from San Jose State University. He currently participates as a judge of the UCLA Innovation Fund screening panel and the UCSF Rosenman Institute Innovators.
